An excellent practical guide to wilderness medicine, logically laid out. It's also available on Kindle, so you can have it handy on your smart phone without the weight penalty of packing a book on your hikes.
Simply the best.
A good companion to WFR study guides and all around useful for those who spend time away from pavement and easy access to professional medical care.
Excellent textbook in both size and content, easy to fit in your backpack and easy to understand and follow. The field guide from NOLS would be a great companion to this if it were available through Amazon.
I have the book and the Kindle edition and both have advantages.
In preparation for our maiden voyage into the back country, this book was recommended to my husband and me. Great reference book, even for those of us in the medical profession.
